Volvo Cars, the owner, 'maintains its long-term ambition to produce batteries for its electric cars in the Gothenburg, Sweden area' and cannot say when production might start or in what structure. THE HISTORY STARTS HERE because it is the first event on this site sourced to the company: the venture was formed with Northvolt in 2021 and the site was reported under construction from 2023, and neither is read into this register.
