Recovered steel, remelted in an electric furnace with no ironmaking step and therefore none of ironmaking's CO2. It is the only decarbonisation input this sector already has at scale, and the only one whose supply is fixed by what Europe scrapped twenty years ago rather than by what anyone decides to build.
